Day 1 · Thu, Jul 15Depart the United States+
- Travel to Scotland; airfare is arranged separately.
Day 2 · Fri, Jul 16Welcome to Edinburgh+
- Group airport pickup based on one coordinated arrival.
- See major Edinburgh sights, including the Royal Mile, St. Giles’ Cathedral, the National Gallery area, and views connected to Edinburgh Castle.
- Browse a Scottish textiles showcase featuring British wool, tartan, tweed, knitwear, and Scottish-made fabric goods.
- Afternoon at leisure.
- Welcome dinner at a local restaurant with a three-course meal, one glass of wine, water, coffee, and tea.
- Overnight in Edinburgh at a centrally located three-star hotel or similar.
Day 3 · Sat, Jul 17Tapestry & the Scottish Borders+
- Breakfast included.
- Travel to Galashiels and visit the Great Tapestry of Scotland, a 143-meter hand-stitched work depicting 12,000 years of Scottish history.
- Light café lunch of soup and sandwich.
- Continue to Jedburgh Abbey, one of Scotland’s best-preserved medieval monastic sites.
- Return to Edinburgh; dinner and evening at leisure.
Day 4 · Sun, Jul 18Dundee Textiles & the Highlands+
- Breakfast included.
- Depart for Aviemore with touring along the way.
- Visit Verdant Works Museum in Dundee to explore the city’s industrial textile heritage and see historic machinery in action.
- Stop in Pitlochry with a possible small-group visit to Moulin Yarns, subject to shop access and capacity.
- Three-course dinner with a drink at the hotel.
- Overnight in Aviemore at a four-star hotel or similar.
Day 5 · Mon, Jul 19Woolmill Heritage & Inverness+
- Breakfast included.
- Guided visit to Knockando Woolmill, including its Victorian machinery and 1899 Dobcross loom.
- Continue to Inverness for a guided Scottish Kiltmaker Visitor Centre experience.
- Free time in Inverness before returning to Aviemore.
- Three-course dinner with a drink at the hotel.
Day 6 · Tue, Jul 20Sheepdogs, the Trossachs & Glasgow+
- Breakfast included.
- Visit Leault Farm for a sheepdog demonstration.
- Travel through Aberfeldy and the Trossachs National Park toward Glasgow.
- Panoramic city tour upon arrival.
- Dinner at leisure and overnight in central Glasgow.
Day 7 · Wed, Jul 21New Lanark & Wool Haven+
- Breakfast included.
- Guided visit to New Lanark, the historic 18th-century mill village.
- Experience the Annie McLeod ride, historic worker housing, Robert Owen’s school, and textile machinery.
- Stop at Wool Haven in Glasgow for yarn, tools, patterns, and accessories.
- Farewell dinner at a local restaurant with a three-course meal, one glass of wine, water, coffee, and tea.
Day 8 · Thu, Jul 22Departure Day+
- Breakfast included.
- Private coach transfer to Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport.
